The Patagonia Tropic Comfort Women's Crew Long Sleeve T-Shirt follows the same philosophy: Start with nothing, and then add almost nothing, except what’s absolutely necessary. The lightweight, supercomfortable 94% polyester/6% spandex jersey fabric wicks moisture, provides reliable 50+ UPF sun protection is treated with Polygiene® permanent odor control for long weeks in hot and humid weather. Raglan sleeves lie comfortably on the shoulders under pack straps, and a casual fit through the body provides ease of movement and cooling airflow; a rear zippered security pocket stashes a small fly box, and thumb-holes on the cuffs keep the sleeves over the backs of the hands for added sun protection without the need for gloves. Odor Resistan t- Polygiene® odor control permanently protects your garments from smelling like a middle school locker room. Sweat itself is odorless, but it creates the conditions that bacteria need to multiply, and some of those bacteria produce odors. Polygiene permanent odor control stops the growth of odor-causing bacteria on fabrics, so you can wear more and wash less.
Active only on the fabric surface, Polygiene permanent odor control does not interfere with perspiration or with the skin’s natural bacterial flora. Polygiene particles are more than 100 times larger than nanoparticles and therefore are too large to penetrate to the skin’s barrier. Polygiene-treated fabrics have received Medical Class 1 approval in Europe, the same class that includes bandages.
