Time to get serious about walking 100km or 50km to change the world. This workshop is for teams and individuals registered for the Sydney Oxfam Trailwalker in 2018.
This session will most likely focus on Nutrition OR Blisters, perhaps a bit of both, based on walker feedback and demand.
You may be channeling your inner Julia Child to create gourmet fare on the trail, but what should you really be eating? And no one likes the idea of blisters or bunions hampering their style while they train or take on 50/100km! What if we told you they’re totally avoidable?
During this free informational session, the dieticians from Balmain Sports Medecine will share tips and tricks to fuel your Oxfam Trailwalker journey – you need the right combination of foods to make sure you keep up your energy without getting sick from a full belly! They will tell you how it’s all in the shoes and socks you pick to protect your feet. Come and learn how to strap your feet, keep your toes protected, plus other golden tips!
