Our Melbourne store has packed up and moved to an exciting new location a few blocks away at 152 Bourke Street. Featuring an adventure film room, dark room to test torches in, bouldering wall and all of your favourite outdoor brands, this multi level gear testing and educational mega hub will soon be your new favourite place to visit in Melbourne. To celebrate the kick off of our new store we are throwing an epic Grand Opening full of prizes as well as brand demonstrations and heading into the evening we have a sneak peek of the Women’s Adventure Film Tour which you can get your tickets to here, giveaways, food and drinks and even more prizes. It will definitely be an event not to miss for any adventure lovers out there.

We have put together an overview of the day so that you know what to expect and plan for. With a great range of activities and chances to score yourself some amazing free gear, there is definitely something for everyone! 

Day-time Activities

Race to Find

To kick the day off we have a Race to Find treasure hunt. Some awesome gear and gift cards will be hidden around the store in creative and sneeky locations. You will need your detective, navigational, adventurous and maybe even survival skills to find these awesome prizes. Don’t worry though, there will be hints which can be found on the Paddy Pallin Instagram (@paddy_pallin). Make sure you follow us on Instagram to be the first to see the hints and get to the store super early as these awesome prizes will be found and snapped up quickly! Also keep in mind that there is a limit of one prize per person so hunt wisely.

Brand Demonstrations

Some of our biggest and favourite brands are coming along to celebrate our Melbourne Grand Opening! We have a range of demonstrations and workshops providing you with expert knowledge and recommendations. Come along and learn all about the latest tech, product features and equip yourself with the right knowledge to make your next adventure a roaring success!

Patagonia Worn Wear Pop Up Stall

Do you have your old, faithful Patagonia piece in the wardrobe in need of some love? Bring it along to our Paddy Pallin Melbourne Grand Opening to give it a unique repair by our friends at Patagonia. Small repairs will be completed on the spot and larger repairs will be sent to Patagonia HQ for repair and sent back to you free of charge.

Plogging: A combination of jogging and picking up rubbish. Come on the Plogging journey with Salomon, Suunto The Plastic Runner and Paddy Pallin to learn more about the environmental, personal and social benefits of this up and coming activity. Spend some time with team Salomon to brush up on your trail running and hiking footwear knowledge!

Night-time 

Just because the sun has gone down doesn’t mean the activities have to come to an end. From 5:30pm the doors will shut but from 6pm they will reopen for our Women’s Adventure Film Tour sneak preview screening.

The first 100 guests to arrive will receive a free gift bag featuring a range of fantastic products, samples and vouchers from our top brands. These will go quickly, so make to arrive early so you don’t miss out!
Guests will have the chance to walk around the new store (if they haven’t already seen it in the day) before enjoying some great food and local drinks. Our main event for the evening is a sneak peek of the Women’s Adventure Film Tour which launches in September this year.
Don’t worry we know we promised more giveaways, the night will also be filled with fantastic raffle prizes that will have you crossing your fingers and wishing on a shooting star to win!
