A excited group of seasoned and rookie adventure racers turned out at Lysterfield Lake for the last round of the Paddy Pallin Adventure Race Series. With the shower’s that where predicted thankfully staying away until the end of the day it resulted in perfect mild racing weather for the competitors.

While the turn out wasn’t as large as some of the other round there was still plenty of enthusiasm and action to be had. The mountain biking legs proved to be very popular with sections of the  Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games cross country mountain bike track being used which included some sweet flowing single trails & steep and technical sections of trail through rocky landscapes.

There was plenty of tight racing over the day at the pointy end. With a high percentage of the competitors racing in their 1st adventure race and all commenting on how much fun it was.
