And you’ll have something fun to look at while you hang your sorry head and shuffle your tired feet. This soft, comfortable four-way stretch spandeXy uniseXy gaiter weighs less than 60g. It hooks under the front shoe lace and secures to the back of the shoe with a self-adhesive velcro strip.
About Dirty Girl Gaiters
The rage began when fashionista and ultra-marathoner Xy Weiss made leopard print gaiters to match her leopard print jog bra. In the beginning, she made extras to give away to girlfriends. By the time she ran the 2004 Western States 100-mile Endurance Race, the demand for dirt was overwhelming. She uses all profits from this dirty business to "pay forward" and "pay back," donating to worthy non-profit causes, charity based ultramarathons and trail events, and dozens of athletes who promote the Dirty Girl energy and spirit. Dirty Girl Gaiters are made in America by goddesses from their empire of dirt in Green Valley, Arizona.
Specs
Preparing and fitting to the shoe:
Shoes must be new, or, clean and dry. The spot where you place the Velcro must be smooth.
Step 1. Cut off about an inch and a half of the self-adhesive Velcro strip for each shoe
Step 2. Attach it to the back heel of the shoe
Step 3. Allow 12 to 24 hours for the strip to reach maximum adhesiveness
