Is this the replacement for the old Garmin inReach Explorer+ ? (i.e. GPS navigation and Iridium satellite communications) I like the Explorer+, but would like to upgrade.

The H1i Plus will serve as a good upgrade for your requiremetns, as would the Montana 710i.
