A Custom Fit-on-the-Fly Hipbelt, Custom Fit-on-the-Fly Shoulder Strap and adjustable torso length allow for a fine-tuned fit for a variety of body shapes and sizes.
AIRSCAPE SUSPENSION
An injection-moulded, die-cut foam AirScape back panel creates a breathable, close-to-body fit.
LOAD CAPACITY

Can you lock all zippers/ compartments on the main bag for security on flights?

The Ariel family of backpacks, as with most of the Osprey travel backpacks are not lockable. The travel bags such as the Fariview all feature lockable compartments. Alternatively you can use the Osprey Airporter, or even the AirCover to secure the Ariel during transport.

Does the stated litre capacity include the capacity of the detachable lid/ day pack? If not, can you please tell me the capacity of the lid?

The stated volume of 70L is for the M/L, and considers the lid in the standard configuration, as the lid itself. The lid in backpack form is approximately 18L.

Does the lid convert into a day pack ? I have seen previous reviews saying it does, however i can not see that on the website -wondering if that was a different years model? thanks
