I have large hips. Re the serial: Would it be possible to retrofit a pouch strip between the belt and compression straps to fit bottles?
And is there a difference in the frame of the savu and serial vs the talon, given that the former seem intended for bikes and the latter for hiking?

Hi,
there may be space for you to hang a bottle carrier off the hip belt towards the front, depending on the amount of belt exposed.
The Savu and Serial are the updated waist packs. The Talon is now the older design for this style of bag. The differences are very minimal, the ribbed foam panel is better designed in the new packs.

Water bottle plus hydration kit and internal organisation are important to me. Can this pack be used as a hiking pack?

Hi, The Osprey Seral waist series comes with a hydration bladder but no external bottle pockets.
The Osprey Savu waist packs have not hydration bladder but storage for water bottles. There is good storage and organisation inside the packs. This waist pack could be used for bush walking day trips.
