What is the distance between the straps at the shoulder/neck insertion to the pack? My 186cm son needs a very small backpack for daily use so am interested in the XS, but has outgrown his current REI pack because the straps cut into his neck

Hi, The Tempest is the female version of the Talon. The base of the shoulder straps is U shaped therefore the most accurate measurement we could get for your question is the Tempest is 16cm, Talon is 25cm. Which is forward of the U base but where the minimum fit for a person’s neck position.
