We have been a dedicated supporter of For Wild Places since the inaugural Pilliga Ultra in 2022, which raised $82,000 to protect the forest from Coal Seam Gas drilling. We’re incredibly excited to support this amazing event in its second iteration this September.

The Pilliga Ultra is a three-day running festival celebrating the natural beauty of the Pilliga Forest. The event brings people together to experience the incredible biodiversity of this area firsthand by running 10, 20, or 50 kilometres through the forest. An oft-overlooked part of New South Wales, this event will allow runners from across Australia to appreciate the beauty and biodiversity of this ancient landscape firsthand.

As well as fundraising and raising awareness of the protection of wild places like the Pilliga, the event will generate considerable economic return for the region with an influx of 200+ people expected to attend. We can’t wait to be there.
