- From our data analytics and advertising partners, we gather demographic information as well as details about consumer preferences, interests, and opinions.
We have access to certain information from third-party social media platforms and related services (such as Instagram, Facebook, Woobox). The data that can be collected includes your name, email address, friends list, public profile information, and more. - In regards to certain financial products, we receive pertinent information from the financial institution as it relates to our business, including whether your application was approved or denied, and aggregated information about your transactional history.
- Through our Services, we gather to address and contact information about you that has been disclosed by other users, such as when they send gifts or e-gift cards to you or allocate you as their emergency contact. This information will be used solely to fulfill their requests.
- We obtain information from our partners that provide or lead Paddy Pallin Experience Series events and other affiliated events, such as contact information and the feedback participants provide.
Information We Collect Automatically. When you access or use the Services or shop in our stores, we automatically collect certain information about you, including:
- Transactional Information: When you make a transaction with us, we collect certain information which includes but is not limited to, product details, purchase price, and the date and location of the transaction.
- Your Usage and Device: We collect data about the device you use to access our Services as well as your usage of our Services. This includes details such as the browser type, hardware model, operating system, mobile network information, IP address, unique device identifiers, access times, viewed pages, items added to your cart, clicked links, browsing patterns, and the webpage visited prior to reaching our Services.
- Video Recordings, Photos, Chat and Audio Content, and In-Store Heat Mapping: We capture photographs and video recordings in our stores and other facilities for security and loss prevention purposes. To understand how our stores are used, we engage a service that tracks radio frequency density output from smartphones. This technology does not identify the phone of the person using it. If you contact customer service through our chat feature or by phone, we may monitor and retain those conversations, including for training purposes.
- Data Gathered By Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies: Our Services use cookies, web beacons, such as web bug and pixel tags, and other tracking technologies to learn more about how you prefer to interact with us. For example, we collect data on your browsing and purchasing behaviour and your other engagements with our Services. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory. They enable us to improve our Services and your experience. - From the information we gather about you (as outlined above), we may make inferences about your preferences to customise your experience with our Services. For example, we may infer that you are looking to purchase new boots or a tent, or other products based on your website browsing behaviour and transactional history, in like vein we may infer you need care instructions or trail tips to optimise your outdoor adventures.
How Does Paddy Pallin Use Your Personal Information?

- taking measures to protect the physical security of our premises, document management systems database, data back-up and records.
- Taking measures so our team members also adhere to internal information security policies.
Taking all reasonable measures to keep your personal information accurate. However, you may choose not to identify yourself when dealing with us, for example by using a pseudonym or remaining anonymous to protect your identity. In this case there may be numerous instances where we are not able to provide our services. - If we no longer need your personal information we will destroy or de-identify it

To protect your personal information, you should ensure that you do not share your credit card details with us by any other means for example in an e-mail or chat.
- We have measures in place to detect and prevent online fraud or suspicious activity. In certain cases, we may request additional information from you to verify your identity and payment details (for example, if you have never shopped online with us before or if your payment details need to be verified with our payment providers). As part of this process, we may ask you to provide redacted (masked) copies of your ID and the credit card used to place your online order
- If information is requested from you in order to verify your identity and payment, there may be a delay with the despatch of your order. You will receive a follow up email once your order has been approved.
There is no obligation for you to provide this information, but if we are unable to verify your identity, we may not be able to finalise your online order.

Paddy Pallin uses secure banking gateways, for our real time card validation and transaction processing. Paddy Pallin uses Braintree banking gateway for all online credit/debit card and PayPal transactions through our site.
Payments using ZipPay are processed through the ZipPay merchant Portal. Payments using Afterpay are processed through the Afterpay merchant portal.
In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its rules on reporting and procedures.
