When Sea to Summit set out to design a mat that was better than what was already available, they ultimately went back to why we carry a sleeping mat into the wild in the first place — to give us a better night’s sleep. ‘Better’ is of course a very subjective ambition and while Sea to Summit could have made the lightest, or the most compact mat ever designed, they're stoked to present what they consider to be the most comfortable sleeping mattresses available. The Comfort Plus Insulated Air Sleeping Mat earned a 2015 Backpacker Editors' Choice award for its innovative Air Sprung Cell technology and dual layer comfort. With two separate layers of interlocking air chambers and the multi-function valve, you can fine-tune the top layer to perfection as well as adjust the base layer to accommodate for rough terrain. So, if one side of the pad punctures, the other remains functional until a repair is made.

The mat is also insulated with Thermolite® and Exkin Platinum® for great warmth.
