Meet The Team
Demelza | Store Manager
Demelza is a keen hiker, traveller, and climber. She has previously lived in Canada for 10 years, and upon her return to Australia, she developed a passion for walking on sandy islands in Queensland, including Moreton Island. She loves her Aura 65 and loves equipping others for their next adventure. You’ll find her hanging on rock faces on her days off, with her favourite crag being out at Brooyar.
Joe | Assistant Manager
Before moving to Australia in 2022, Joe lived and worked in the Middle East, Europe, America, and Asia. He has worked as an Outdoor Education instructor in the United States and China; bagged Munros in Scotland; trekked in the Omani deserts for the Duke of Edinburgh Award; and hiked between Sweden and Norway as part of a research project studying the Scandinavian outdoor culture. Driven by a love for the natural world, Joe is passionate about sustainable practices and being immersed in the outdoors – often enjoying simple tarp shelters and a minimalist setup. He also enjoys trail running, mountain biking, and bikepacking.
Elliott | Assistant Manager
Elliott has always had a passion for the outdoors, fueled by his love of animals and scenic landscapes. Capturing moments through his camera lens has become a part of every walk. Having grown up camping with his family, Elliott's interest in hiking has taken him to amazing places across QLD, NSW, VIC, TAS, NT, and most recently, the Italian Dolomites. Elliott loves exploring every new piece of gear that arrives in the store and is eager to share his expertise with you when planning your next trip.
Chrissy | Senior Gear Consultant
Chrissy has travelled to 53 countries and has lived in several countries in Europe and Turkey. She loved trekking to Everest Base Camp with her family and looks forward to tackling the Overland Track in Tasmania. Chrissy knows what it takes to get your gear right when travelling to cold northern climates.
Jason | Senior Gear Consultant
Jason loves seeking out the challenge in every adventure. One of his favourite trips was snowboarding for a month through Japan. Cold climates are his place of choice for his adventures. Jason never goes on a trip without his sense of humour and with well-fitted boots. He has recently returned from a Mountaineering trip in the NZ Alps, and he can’t wait to be back in the mountains again soon.
