Rune | Store Manager

With a passion for nature photography, Rune can often be found exploring his local area around the ACT and South Eastern NSW. Having spent the last 20+ years helping fellow adventurers who swing by the Canberra store, Rune still loves to share his local hidden gems to discover in the area. Always packing his trusty Gore-Tex jacket and a nice spicy curry for those cold winter nights, Rune understands the need to have the right gear when out in the bush.

Tyla | Gear Consultant 

Tyla is all about bikes. Mainly, her 20+ year old steel touring bike that she likes to pack heavy and take on long trips. She’s done a lot of bike touring around NSW, ACT, VIC and TAS over the years, but Tassie definitely holds a special place in her heart. Tyla loves helping people experience life outdoors in whatever capacity excites them. She thinks it’s pretty cool that she can go to work and chat about exciting trips with interesting people.

Martyn | Gear Consultant 

Hailing from Canberra but raised in Vancouver, Canada, Martyn has experienced life in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Having lived, studied, and worked in places ranging from Seoul to Perth, Martyn has always had the travel bug. He's worked in the outdoor industry for 15+ years, so chances are if you’ve bought it, he’s sold it. His hiking specialties include treks on the Overland Track and Frenchman’s Cap in Tasmania, as well as extensive travel through Southeast Asia. His favourite places include the island of Koh Kood in Thailand, the Cambodian towns of Kep and Kampot, Hoi An in Vietnam, and, anywhere in the Tasmanian Wilderness. If you’ve got a trip planned, Martyn wants to hear about it and help you plan it!

Xavier | Sales Assistant

Xavier loves any outdoor adventure involving water. Whether it is canyoning, kayaking or packrafting, as long as he is wet and borderline hypothermic, he is having a great time. He has packrafted many rivers in Australia including the Murrumbidgee, Snowy, Franklin River and many other fantastic local rivers. Xavier has also completed month-long mountaineering and packrafting trips in Patagonia, Alaska and New Zealand. So if you're heading out for a week or more, Xavier is more than happy to offer his tips and pointers. He has made nearly every mistake in the book so you don't have to.
