About The Store
Opened in 1993, the Paddy Pallin Ringwood store has a team of committed staff, who are dedicated to making customers feel at home in a relaxed environment. We are all outdoor enthusiasts and when not working, we spend as much time as possible pursuing our own outdoor interests including bushwalking, skiing, travelling, climbing, and more.
As a result we are always excited about spending time with customers to help them work out the best items for their next trip. For first time travellers or bushwalkers this can sometimes seem a little daunting, so we always aim to provide as much information as you require and the highest quality service.
At Paddy Pallin Ringwood, our selection of equipment is comprehensive, with a broader range of specialist outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment than any other suburban store. We now offer a large range of end of season products from your favourite quality brands like Scarpa and Osprey, all at reduced prices to suit a wide variety of budgets. We also have an excellent range of hiking and travel footwear with expert boot fitting.

Meet The Team
Ngima
Ngima has worked for Paddy Pallin for 14 years and is a keen day hiker, traveller, and skier. Ngima grew up in the foothills of the Everest region, and adores mountain hikes from Annapurna to the Austrian Alps. When not at high altitude, Ngima likes to keep her gear choices simple: a trusty pair or trail runners and a light insulated jacket are her main accompaniments for most day trips and travel.
Robyn
Meet Robyn, she has an impressive 30+ years of experience in our outdoor retail stores and has a passion for bushwalking and travel. Robyn has a wealth of knowledge of local Victorian trails and camping sites and is always planning her next adventure. The Jatbula Trail in the Northern Territory is one of her favourite hikes, with brilliant red soils and scattered waterholes, it’s a great place to escape during the Victorian winter! Robyn’s loves talking to customers about their upcoming adventures and sharing her knowledge and experience, tailored to their trips and outdoor pursuits.
Ian
Ian has worked in the Outdoor Equipment Industry for 36 years ranging from manufacturing to retail and is now the assistant manager at the Ringwood store. He has hiked through England, Scotland, Wales, Italy, France, Spain, Jordan, Nepal, Thailand, Vanuatu, New Zealand and Australia. He has had extensive experience with white water kayaking and raft guiding on the Mitchell and Mitta Mitta Rivers in Victoria. His other outdoor pursuits have been cross country skiing and rock climbing. He enjoys giving custom advice for fitting back packs and appropriate outdoor equipment, care and maintenance, and looks after the in-house repairs.
