Teva was born in the Grand Canyon back in 1984, when a river guide rigged two Velcro watchbands to an old pair of flip flops and created a shoe that wouldn’t float away. Over three decades later, they’ve grown up into an icon of comfort and utilitarian style.
Starting in 2020, all of Teva’s iconic straps are made using traceable, verifiable recycled plastic using REPREVE® yarn. So far, over 40 million plastic bottles have been kept out of landfills and put to better use strapping sandals to your feet. In addition to Teva’s recycled straps, they’re seeking sustainable alternatives for key materials and using less water and waste in their packaging – and this is just the beginning.
Teva want those who come after them to have the freedom to explore the outdoors tomorrow, so they’re reducing their footprint today.
