Prepare for your outdoor adventures in Western Australia

Perth is the most remote capital city in the world. Western Australia is huge, and is blessed with lush tall forests, stark desert country, and a long dramatic coastline. We're also home to one of Australia's great bushwalks - the 1000km Bibbulmun Track. Perth is the city you return to if you work off shore or inland, it is the starting point for wine lovers to tour the south, and for travellers touring around Australia, it is the only city for 3000km or more.

Perth is home to bushwalkers, rock climbers, mountain bikers, fishing enthusiasts, car campers, and people who set their sights overseas. Perth is a relaxed, yet vibrant place that attracts people from all over the globe - in fact, many come for a holiday and find themselves still here several years later. The holiday atmosphere that Perth enjoys is seen again and again in our store as people relive their last trip and plan their next one. The staff at Paddy Pallin Perth draw on their training and experience to provide you with the most suitable equipment for your next jaunt. We stock a selection of the best outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment from around the world so you can venture outdoors comfortably and safely - whether that be fishing up the coast, or climbing Mount Everest.

Meet The Team

Nessie | Store Manager

Nessie has been part of the Paddy’s Perth team since 2009. Before that, she worked as an outdoor ed guide, taking kids out to the bush to explore some pretty incredible parts of WA. Her favourite outdoor activities are canoeing, kayaking and hiking. Her highlight trips include a sea kayaking expedition at Ningaloo and the Ridge Walk in the Stirling Ranges. Her favourite part of working at Paddy Pallin is introducing people to all the great brands we stock and helping them determine what will work best for their adventures.

Brad | Assistant Manager (2IC)

Before joining the Perth Paddy Pallin team in mid-2022, Brad worked in the mountain biking industry for ten years, where he developed an interest in bikepacking. While he has completed the Munda Biddi three times, many adventures are still being planned. Brad owns more stoves than most of our staff combined and takes his trusty Sea to Summit Spark sleeping bag on most adventures.

Sharni | Senior Sales Assistant

Sharni has been working at the Paddy Pallin Perth and Melbourne store since 2008 and keeps coming back because she loves hearing about everyone's adventures. When she is not wrangling her 2 young children she enjoys hiking, running and swimming. She has completed triathlons, numerous fun runs, a half marathon and the Melbourne Oxfam 100km Trailwalker event. She has backpacked solo extensively and has worked in an American summer camp, a Canadian ski resort and WOOFing (working on organic farms) throughout New Zealand.

Tam | Supervisors

Tam has been working in outdoor and adventure travel retail since 2013. You’ll usually find her exploring history and nature in WA’s Wheatbelt, photographing wildflowers and cooking up a gourmet meal on her camping stove, all while wearing multiple items of merino wool clothing! After two round-the-world trips – one by foot, one by motorbike – she loves to share her expertise in backpacking, trekking, motorcycle camping and long-term travel.

Lee | Supervisors

Lee has been working in the hiking industry for the past 10 years. His time indoors is spent sharing his knowledge and passion about the outdoors. The Bibbulmun Track here in WA’s South West is a special favourite of Lee’s, and he has completed multi-day stints on the Bibbulman every year since its re-opening back in 1998. Lee has a particular passion for toe socks and nerding out on minimalist footwear. Lee is a bit of a gear addict but he’s been seeking help with this problem and seems to be on the improve….we think!

Mitch | Sales Assistant

Mitch has a love for the outdoors that spans a wide range of activities, from climbing to hiking. He is passionate about sustainability and the care we take when we venture into nature, and he always enjoys discussing Leave No Trace principles. As he gets older, Mitch hopes to study Outdoor Recreation and Secondary Teaching to share his love of the outdoors with the next generation. Mitch will be thrilled to chat about anything outdoors as well as prepare you for your adventure.

Scott | Partnerships & Activities Coordinator Western Australia

Scott is an avid landscape photographer, hiker, bikepacker and recently completed the 65km Transcend Ultra to raise money for the End Forest Mining campaign.
