The Icebreaker Merino Original Long Sleeve Half Zip and the Icebreaker Merino 260 Tech Long Sleeve Half Zip Women’s use a similar overall fit, so the chest and general cut are not significantly different between the two styles. The main difference lies in fabric weight. The 260 Tech is made from 260 g/m² merino, which is a true midweight thermal layer designed for colder conditions. The Merino Original Half Zip uses a lighter grade of merino and is intended as a more versatile everyday layer rather than a dedicated cold-weather base layer. Because of this, the 260 Tech will feel noticeably warmer and slightly heavier, while the Original offers a more classic and less technical feel with similar sizing.
